Satellite technology is a fascinating field that makes use of some very clever engineering to overcome the challenges of designing for the space environment. This video explores the seven subsystems - the structure, the on-board computer, the electrical power system, the attitude determination and control system, the propulsion system, the communications system and the thermal control system - that make up a typical satellite bus.

Understanding Stress Transformation and Mohr's Circle
This video is a masterpice 👏👏👏
Did this guy just casually and fluently explain the 2 Schwedler equations in less than few minutes INCLUDING THE PICTURE AND HOW IT CAME TO BE? 🙃 I was trying to understand this, all sweaty before the exam, took me like an 30 minutes to do so, when I just could watch this video X).... Well, at least made it at the end, and even with grade 2, which out of like 50 people, from which 1/5 actually made it is quite good I think 😅😂. Will definitely watch this channel more, since I saw all the possible things scuh as thermodynamics that will come next year 💀👍
🧊
Towards the end of the video you showed how a flap works but she said nothing about the slat in the front of the wing
the only thing I learned from this video is the "Nut Factor"
Ductile material might not fail due to compression because their cross-sectional area increases with the increase in the stress
helpful, thankyou so much
the calculus was set up wrong
A couple 'funny' animations: 0:05 The ends move up and down, a lot, even tho the load is only between the supports. The straight ends should have no curvature outside of the supports. 4:36 Wow, that copper stretches a LOT, like 300%, and then goes right back to its original shape. That doesn't work for many reasons, not the least of which is simple conservation of mass, the rod's diameter never changes while expanding in volume 3 times.
Sweet
Institutions unclear. I made a missile!
This was brilliant!!
Great video !
06:32 You mention turballent velocity profile around the object is less stiper (Hence less shear stress which proportional to the gradient of the velocity) However you infere that laminar flow is less drag, is that should be the opposite ? of something in the explanation is missing?
정말 훌륭한 비디오입니다! 나는 이 비디오로부터 많은 지식을 배웠습니다. 공학을 공부하는 학생들은 이러한 훌륭한 비디오를 학습에 적극적으로 활용하여야 합니다.
Will there be a video on non-linear dynamic systems in the future e.g. off-shore wind turbines?
A year late, but perfect for what I need as a quality inspector working with Engineers...especially when they can't explain a thing
Thanks!! It was only your video which clarified my confusion between 2d and 3d mohr circle.
U JUST told me what i needed to know thank u
Teşekkürler.
Professionally illustrated and explained
So good
Hi is it possible to have som more videos regarding the design and manufactirng of race cars (engine, transimissions, suspension, chassis or also aerodynamics challanges...). Thanks for the explanations always clear and simple keep it up
This is the elementary kindergarten explanation. Its wrong. Take a fluids course. This guy doesnt know what he is talking about.
Great
Ok I'll built my own satellite 🛰️ now
Very well done video, great work 👍
Animation at 0:29 with rear differential has the rotation arrows reversed on the right side. Great video nontheless.
This video is very impressive! I worked in the aerospace industry for 37 years including a number of years helping to develop an attitude measurement system for satellites. This video accurately describes all the high points of the engineering challenges that we faced in our development program. VERY nicely done!
you explain these brilliant way❤ there are more complicated to understand lecture note😢
Amazing and very high quality content! Thank you!
I've been building trusses for 10 years I need to design them now
Kkhhhh
that s great
If I am not mistaken, lower pressure does not cause suction.
amazing quality and visualization. really thankful for your work.
Your videos are amazing 😍 love from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
it is spelled aluminium
It might be good to mention that fatigue general occurs with tensile structure.
Now I'm in luv with Mechanics of materials. ❤
How do study this type of concepts and which platform do you use. And how do you use that site effectively
Could you elaborate how shear stress distribution occur like bending stress distribution without equation?
What program do you use for these animations?
Hats off! God bless you
Kindly solve the left side of the cut of the truss using the section method
Concise and informative, Nice!
One of the wonderful explanations and learning from a video. This is a very awesome way that you have taught the whole thing. Thank you so much...
Is there any open source satellite out there?
23:17 Why there so much difference on the satellite surface even in the Earth shadow??? Body radiation? How??
The quality of these videos make no sense. Probably better than what taught in many universities.
